I meant to write this review a while ago but we have been extremely busy renovating our house. Still, this is SO worth writing!! First, Anna Maria came to the house to see what we needed done and give us a quote. We had over 20 years worth of stuff that needed to be disposed of. We felt the quote was very reasonable and agreed to having them do the job. Jerry the Rubbish Man’s crew came on a Saturday to Valley Stream (which isn’t really in their work zone, but they agreed to help us out and we were very grateful). They worked fast and hard, leaving nothing behind. Check out the pictures of our garage before and after, both inside and outside. There also were many very large furniture items (dressers, bed frames, sectional sofa, etc.) that they pull out with very little difficulty and put it in what could only be described as a magical truck (because no matter how much they put in there, it was always room for more!) . They were done in less than 4 hours (we thought it would take half a day!) Anna Maria showed up near the end of the job, apologizing for now being there at the beginning. She said she had a family tragedy and we wondered why she even showed at all! That is dedication!! We are SO appreciative of all that they did and recommend them very very highly!! I can’t say enough about Anna Maria and her company Jerry The Rubbish Man. I called and made an appointment for Anna Maria to come and look at the job that had to be done. She was right on time and we walked through a mess of junk covering two floors and a basement. Anna Maria was extremely professional, was competent in her business, was a very good listener understanding what we wanted removed and what we didn’t, and immediately gave a firm fixed quote. I told her I would let her know what we decided. I interviewed two other companies. One was 45 minutes late to the time he set and the second gave a higher price with the words “minimum” This was scary! I called Anna Maria and said we wanted her to do the job but said I wold have to call her back with the date. She was very appreciative and thanked me for choosing her company. Anna Maria said the people would be there a 8 AM. At 8 AM four men showed up at the door. They were there until 6:30 PM and I asked them to take a few extra things and remove some carpeting. The total included almost two 25 yard trucks. Anna Maria did a walk through to make sure everything was up to her standard (which included sweeping clean the whole place) and then said for the extra work, $200.
Amazing! You can’t go wrong with Anna Maria and Jerry the Rubbish Man. It is my pleasure to recommend them!

I recommended Jerry The Rubbish Man (specifically Anna Maria who is the principal there) to my client who needed a house cleaned out. I have a colleague of mine who also refers them on a consistent basis so she recommended them to me as well. They are amazing! The gentleman who came to do the work we’re not only efficient, careful and polite but they also even went so far as to help us with additional things that we needed assistance with. I needed to completely clear out my property of all furniture & household items. I contacted Anna Maria via Yelp, who was able to come over the next day to provide a free quote on the job. It was a very fair quote, considering we’re talking about a house with 2 floors, a basement, plus a garage with decades worth of accumulated stuff. I was able to schedule the job easily based on my timeline of needs. The crew & dump truck arrived on time, working hard for hours in the rain. I highly recommend Anna Maria & her company.

These guys are awesome! Anna Marie is super responsive, and they are available quickly. Once the guys are here, they are polite, thorough, quick and clean. Having my stuff cleaned out might have been the most satisfying thing I’ve done House-wise. Priced fairly and they never complain about anything. I’ve used them twice and would do it again in a heartbeat.

AM the owner is an expert and knows how to effectively remove debris!! Cleaning out a very difficult basement situation with ease. I highly recommend this company!! I would give more stars but 5 are my only option. Love working with them!

Hired them because a different company canceled at the last minute. The price was great. Office woman was very helpful and worked to fit me in. The moving guys were great, efficient and polite. I highly recommend it.

This is definitely the people to go to …fast service,the men working for this company take pride in their job after 10 yards of debris in the street, they broom swept the entire work area. What a pleasure the woman on the phone was all business and knew exactly what had to be done.

We were cleaning out our basement and had enough unsorted former belongings (e.g. junk) that regular DSNYC trash pickup was out of the question. AnnaMaria and the ten from Jerry’s we’re great. They came in about an hour, couldn’t have been more helpful, and it is all gone!
